Dream and Dust Offering by Dusan Colovic

From the review: His poems are like a glare, like a flash of light, like a figure in the air drawn by a sword. It is those poetic miniatures that fascinate not only with their beauty, but also with the depth of the plot. The cryptograms of heart and mind. And soul, above all.... We are about to face a strong, linguistically polished, thoughtfully inspired and a mature poet.

The soil of forefathers

ZEMLJA PRADEDOVSKA

        Pradedi Radovanu Pantiću

U šaci,

Otkosi srca

Zemlja pradedovska

Prkosima diše

Dok klasje

Iznova niče

Denem stogove snova

Da mi na prošlost liče.

I kao da mi pristiže

Odnekud iz nečuja

U starom mlinu

Liturgija bruja.

              The soil of forefathers

         To the great-grand-father Radovan Pantich

In the palm,

Heart,

The soil of forefathers

Breathing contumacy

While grass sprouts again

I am stacking the dreams

That look line the past.

It is almost as if

From the silent past

In the old family will

Rings the hell of liturgy.

magazine The Open Mouse, 2013

In Stone

In the cut stone

Shines

The spirit of line

Over a ragged

Trace

Passes

The face

Of the ancestor

With the letter.

U KAMENU

Na uklesanom kamenu

Preliva se

Duh linije

Po iskrzanom

Tragu

Promiče

Lik

Pretka

Sa pismom.
